(From the Squadron Supplier): Based out of NAS Lemoore, CA flying the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet, they were established in March 1952. They participated in Desert Storm in 1991 with CVW-11 and the USS Lincoln (CVN-72). They now fly from the deck of the Carl Vinson (CVN-70). Sometimes they are tasked with flying as 'adversaries', so they created this 'RED AIR' aircraft patch (but note the "red" was changed to "orange" for their squadron colors) to wear during those flights. This patch does not come with velcro attached.
