(From the Sqdn Supplier): Fighting Squadron 10 (VF-10), also known as the "Grim Reapers", was an aviation unit of the US Navy, established on 3 June 1942 and disestablished on 26 November 1945. May 1952, VF-101 was reactivated for the Korean War, flying MULTIPLE aircraft, eventually becoming the Fleet Replacement Squadron for the F-14 Tomcat. With the decommissioning of the Tomcat, the squadron was again disestablished in 2005. With the purchase of the F-35 Lightning, VFA-101 was recommissioned for a brief period in 2012, but was again (and currently) disestablished as of 2019. This is a PVC (rubber) patch created commemorating that lineage, is nicely sized (5" diamater), and does not come with velcro attached. There is a LOT of history online, so take a few moments to read their incredible story!!
