The "Stallions" were a Fighter reserve squadron established in May 1971 at NAS Miramar, CA. They originally flew F-8K/L aircraft prior to getting F-4Bs, then began the transition to the F-14 in 1985. Sister squadron of VF-302, they were assigned the TARPS Reconnaissance mission. Thanx to "Rob", formerly of VA305 for the info. This patch does not have velcro attached.
