The 'Aardvarks' flew the F-14A Tomcat out of NAS Miramar. Their mascot was the creature "Zot" from B.C. Comics. They transitioned from the Phantom to the Tomcat in December 1975, and made several West coast cruises paired with VF-213 before being decommissioned. This is the 1983 cruise patch they made for "Skipper Joe's Boys" for their Far East Cruise and shows 'ZOT" drinking from a martini glass. This patch does not have velcro attached.
