Training Squadron Nineteen

The VT-19 "Fighting Frogs" operated out of NAS Meridian, MS flying the T-2C Buckeye and TA-4J Skyhawk. They were established in August 1971 at McCain Field to provide advanced jet training to naval aviators in the jet pipelines, but have since been decommissioned. The VT-19 Attack Frogs are unfortunately no longer in existence and they changed their name back to it's original, VT-9. The VT-19 flew T-2C's, but the now current VT-9 is transitioning from the T-2C to the T-45C.
